Diana Washbourne has been Principal of the School for just over twenty five years. During this time, the School has grown immensely under her direction.
Miss Washbourne is very experienced, and has been an Examiner with the NATD (National Association of Teachers of Dancing) for nearly twenty five years.
As well as teaching at Glenlyn, Diana Washbourne also teaches within mainstream, full time schools.
Miss Washbourne sits on the NATD Stage Branch Tap committee, overseeing updates to the syllabus, and ensuring standards are maintained within this syllabus. Miss Washbourne is also a member of the NATD London Area committee.
Diana Washbourne is the author of Basic Tap Dancing , available from W. Russell Turner Publishing.
Diana Washbourne teaches Ballet, Tap, Modern and Juvenile classes. Miss Washbourne takes on specific responsibility for preparing candidates for their professional teaching qualifications (Associate, Licentiate, Fellowship).
