Tap

An exiting and popular form of dance, Tap develops a sense of rhythm and musical appreciation and is suitable for students who are thinking about going into dance as a career or just for fun.

Emphasis is placed on improving technical ability and accuracy and on creating a 'performer'.

The School stresses the importance of traditional tap styles but also embraces the new and exciting forms of tap that are emerging in the modern world.

Lesson Fees

The School follows the NATD Tap syllabus. This allows students to progress through the introductory Class and Preliminary Examinations, Graded Examinations (grades one to five) and also Major Examinations (Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced One and Advanced Two). The School has specialised Adult Tap Classes. These classes are aimed at people over the age of 21, and are available for all standards. Adults may if they wish take Adult Leisure Examinations, or follow the Graded and Major Examination structure. Adult Leisure Examinations are aimed at students over the age of 18 who are dancing for fun, but also want to improve their technical ability.
